...ASAT takes a wide stance on an issue
With Sen Larry Craig's recent bust for attempted cottaging in a Minneapolis airport privy, it looks like a new phrase has just entered the American lexicon.
You see, the good Senator claims that he was not making lewd gestures in order to score some manlove on the D.L. Oh no. You see, Craig wasn't waving at the undercover cop; Craig, in reality, just craps with a "wide stance."
Must be because he is full of shit.

"Wide stance?" Puts one in mind of the bathroom scene from the first Austin Powers movie - [Tom Arnold]"Yeah, that's it! You show that turd who's boss."[/Tom Arnold]
Ouch.
I think it would be much better to fess up to doing the nasty in a bathroom than it would be to be forever associated with a really bad catchphrase.
I suppose he also has some sort of neurological ailment that causes his feet to caress the feet of the person in the stall next to him. Lord knows that was totally involuntary.
It's not like he asked the cop if he could blow him.
Going to jail for tapping your foot?
Is this what we've come to?
I wish that we had a society where so many gay men could be open with their sexuality and not forced get it on the down low.
My concern is the hypocrisy of fighting gay rights in the daytime while, um, taking a different position in the PM.
I do give credit to the SoCons who denounced his actions quickly rather than trying to defend/spin this story, however.
