Oh God

No, not the 1977 George Burns flick. The GOP convention.

The person running the Republican roll call just called us "Virginia."

I bet her cousin in Roanoke must be proud.

Also, I saw Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog lurking behind Russ Weeks (not introduced as "the next governor," BTW), so keep an eye on Conan tomorrow.

That incident shows how the Republicans think about West Virginia. I hope everyone notices that and remembers it in November.

Another indication of how the GOP feels about WV.

They figure we're in their pocket, so the might as well treat us the way they always do, as a source of easily exploited resources and quick money.
Then again, maybe they're just brain dead.

In all fairness, many a Democrat has F'd that one up, too.

As for Capito, she is a West Virginia good ol' boy first and a Republican second, so I doubt that she cares too much about party ass-kissery. In many ways, she is just like Rahall, Manchin, etc....

Well, 'cept she is pro choice and sort-of actually listens to her constituents sometimes (sort-of).

True, Dems have done that as well, but I dont' think on this large a stage. Everything is scripted here.
