Ron Justice: our next governor?

After watching this story on NBC news, I'm about ready to start a "Draft Ron Justice for Governor 2012" petition. Maybe I'm missing something, but he seems to be leading one of the most successful small cities in America while being situated in one of the poorest states. Heck, even if he turns out to be a Republican (I can't seem to find his party affiliation after an exhaustive 3 minute Google search), he still can't be any more conservative than Supermanch and the Kiss-Up, Kick-Down Posse.

As someone who grew up just 26 miles from Mo-town (but essentially lived there since you had to make the drive to do anything, really), I can attest that Mo-town is doing it right. That town has completely turned around since I was a kid. And they only highlighted HALF of what is happening there. The culture is growing, too.

It has always grated on me when the people around Huntington called it "Morganhole," but now, more than ever, it makes those people just sound petty and jealous. It's going to take a lot more than moving existing businesses from 4th Ave. to 3rd Ave./Pullman Square and building a new sidewalk on 4th Ave. to revitalize Huntington. Our leaders need to put their pride away and look north.

Plus CJ, he has a cool name! Who is not going to vote for "Justice"!

My best guess at the "Morganhole" name is that people down here think it's a dump and because of the WVU fans who act pretty darn moronic every time a Marshall fan enters the city limits. So I'm told.

DB: Sadly, he'd probably lose out to someone's idiot son/daughter/nephew, a former minor TV personality, or a trial lawyer from Charleston.

Lara: these folks are probably stuck in the 70s when, according to my parents who lived there for a while during the decade, the town was indeed a hole.

AC: Don't judge the good permanent residents of the city by couch-burning out-of-state kids who will only be there for 1 to 6 years. :)

Who is not going to vote for "Justice"!

Depends on if he's running against Teets.

If one endorses the other, just imagine the headlines: "Justice for Teets" or "Teets for Justice."

Either way, we all win.

Yeah, in my experience, most of the insults about The Hole come not from people who are jealous of the city, but because of it's irritating, arrogant, transient populace.

It would be easy to get Manchin out of office; just tell him there's a camera or open microphone or mirror in another state, and he'd be off like a prom dress. That self-obsessed clown is an utter embarrassment.
